After a couple hours of watching Ryan attempt to get the rope around the right branch, I volunteered to climb to the top of our 24ft ladder to help out. Thomas held the camera and took this picture while I risked my life for the sake of his boyhood amusement.
With some boyscout rope knotting skill, finally it was up! Before we let the kids on, Mommy and Daddy had to try it out first. To make sure it is safe, of course.
Jacob serenaded us with music from his straw "intra-ment." He walked around the yard making humming sounds while moving his fingers up and down as if playing a recorder.
I took a few minutes to asses the damage from Friday's hail storm. You can see where the hail went straight though the strawberry leaves. Many of the green onion tops were just shredded to pieces from the wind.
That did not stop Jacob from sampling. He loves to eat the vegetables straight from the garden, even onions. He had already eaten four or five green onions before I got this picture.
