OJ and the letter J

At breakfast this morning Thomas saw the picture on the side of the Tropicana Orange Juice carton and insisted on poking a straw into an orange to drink the juice. I started to explain that it's just a picture and it really wouldn't work like that, but decided to go ahead and let him try. Of course Jacob wanted to get in on the action, too. They got more juice out that I expected. Most of it ended up on the floor, however, so they also got a lesson on mopping the floor.

 

Jacob has been noticing the letter J all over the place. When he sees a J on a toy or on the computer he says, "That's my J - for Jacob." Since Thomas has had the Word Builder toy out the last few days, Jacob likes to carry the J piece all over the house. Here he is drinking his smoothie while maintaining a firm grip on his J.

We didn't read ANY books today. We didn't even play starfall.com. The boys just played with toys while I spent most of the day cleaning the house and getting ready for this evening. I am now a co-leader of the local chapter of Holistic Moms Network and we had our first meeting tonight.
