What a beautiful day to visit the Botanical Gardens! One of our friends from the playgroup has a membership and she got us all in for free with her guest passes. It happens to be spring break so it was a little crowded but we still had fun.
We started off the day with a nice long walk through the gardens.
Thomas was not sure what to think about the life-size animal sculptures.
We stopped long enough to let the kids run around in the grass.
The boys went fishing for pennies in one of the many fountains. They just can't stay away from water!
Thomas ventured off the path long enough to climb a tree with the older boys.
While Jacob played in yet another fountain with the girls.
In the childrens' garden Jacob got to dress up like a bee and run around saying "buzz, buzz."
We stopped for lunch in a nice shady amphitheatre. Thomas figured out a way to reach the water fountain without any help from the adults.
A candid shot of all the boys having a little bonding time around the waterfall. This was right before Thomas fell in.
After a quick wardrobe change, we spent the rest of the afternoon at the playground where the kids found some caterpillars to play with.
