New Legos

I woke up this morning to find the boys playing quietly with Legos. Thomas put together all of his new sets that he received for his birthday over the weekend.

My favorite pieces are the sled dogs and polar bear.

We started by reviewing our memory work, as usual. Then they wrote out their prepositions.

I got Thomas started on making thank you notes for his birthday presents.

While he did that, Jacob and I worked on his math work.

Math:
Jacob practiced reading a graph and did a subtraction puzzle.

Later, Thomas and I talked about estimating and he did a couple worksheets.

Science:
We needed a break so Thomas and I decided to plant those seeds that we started last week. We made a small trellis for the peas.

We planted the squash plants outside.

Phonics:
He talked about consonant digraphs /sh/ and /th/.

Jacob read a few pages out of our phonics book.

Thomas read The Boy and the Goats.

History:
We read more about Ancient Mesopotamia and looked and a few craft/project ideas in our Ancient Civilizations book but decided we would save the projects for another day.
