Swimming, Trains, and ABCs

We had a busy day today. Thomas built trains out of bristle blocks and Jacob played with his Veggietales sticker book while I got us packed and ready to go. Notice Jacob's letter J right by his side. He's still carrying that thing around.

We went and had fun in the pool with friends. Thomas is doing great swimming all over the pool with his floaties!

Then we had more fun playing with Sophie's Grandma's trains.

In the car, the boys took turns playing with one of their electronic ABC toys. This one has games in both English and Spanish. Thomas had fun learning the Spanish alphabet. Once I got tired of the computer voice and told him to turn it off, he continued to recite the letters and sounds on his own as he pretended to push the corresponding buttons.

Earlier this week I found out that many of the songs on starfall.com are available for download. I put some of our favorites on CD to listen to in the car. Today the boys just wanted to listen to the days of the week and months of the year over and over again. Now Thomas can name all of the days and most of the months from memory. Jacob knows about 75% of them.
