Building Forts

The boys spent the majority of the day moving around the furniture to build forts. They worked surprisingly well together and even managed to move the large couch all the way across the room.

In the afternoon we left the house to run some errands. As I was pulling out of the driveway I stopped by the mailbox. I like to sort through the mail, pulling out any bills or important letters, and then give the junk mail to the boys. I pretend it is addressed to them. They love to open their own "mail" not matter what it is. They like to look through the colorful ads, but their favorite are the credit card applications with fake credit cards. Thomas got one today which sparked a long conversation about how debit cards work. (I did't want to get into credit cards just yet, so I just kept it simple)

We spent the rest of the evening at Grandma and Grandpa's house. I thought we would go over there and swim but by the time we got there it had started to rain. We sat out on the screened porch and watched an amazing thunderstorm instead.
