Thomas's presentation for CC this week:

Tellus Museum

Last week we went to the Tellus Museum. First we saw the pendulum in the entrance. It shows us how the earth moves slowly over time by knocking over blacks that are set up in a circle. Then we walked around a giant dinosaur statue in the Great Hall. After that my mom made us look at models of rockets and space ships in the Millar Science in Motion Gallery. They had scale models of all the NASA rockets so we could see how big they were compared to each other. We met up with our friends there. Everyone walked together through the Weinman Mineral Gallery. I saw a huge amethyst geode the size of me. Amethyst is my favorite mineral. We quickly ran through the Fossil Gallery so my brother could touch fossilized dinsaur poop then headed over to the Collins Family My Big Backyard. The special hands on exhibit this time was all about sound. Last time we were there it was about motion. Then we went outside for lunch in the grass near the Heavy Machine Exhibits. There was a large grassy hill for us to play on. Last but not least, we came back inside for Fossil Digging and Gem Mining. That is my favorite part of the whole museum. It was a fun day.
