We went to a friend's house today with our homeschool group to learn a little Spanish. As usual, Thomas did not want to be a part of the group activity. He stayed just within earshot, though, and later was able to recount everything that we had learned including the Spanish words for frog, green, river, cold, and friend. We left with a CD full of kids songs in Spanish which we listened to on the way home and were all singing for the rest of the day.
Once the lesson was over, the kids had some time to play. While the girls were off doing their own thing, I saw Thomas and Jacob walked outside together carrying a teapot and two cups. They proceeded to sit down at a kid-sized table and chairs in a quiet corner of the patio. Jacob carefully pretended to pour tea for himself and Thomas and they seemed to carry on polite conversation while sipping their "tea". They didn't know I was watching and I was able to catch this candid photo.
