The boys' cousins came over to play today. They all had fun with arts and crafts. Thomas seems to be much more open to being creative when he is around older kids. When it is just me and him, he doesn't try very hard. But when there are other kids around he wants to do whatever they are doing.
Thomas colored the picture with all of the red scribbles. He cut and glued several pages together to make that shape.
They also got a chance to play with Thomas's new Play-Doh from his birthday. I was glad that his cousins were here to give him some ideas of what to do with it.
Next thing I knew, they had all of their dishes from Jacob's play kitchen. They are making pancakes...
When I was shopping for Thomas's birthday I so carefully chose the primary colors - red, yellow, and blue. I had visions of us mixing a LITTLE of each of the colors together to practice making the secondary colors, orange, green, and purple. By the end of the Play-Doh session today, we ended up with one big mixed up blob. Oh well. At least they had fun with their cousins.
