My Kitchen My family was working on our kitchen this summer. The biggest job we did was putting in a new floor. First we measured the floor to see how much wood we needed. Then we went to the store and got wood. Then we bought a nail gun. We got the saw from downstairs. We had to scrape up all the old flooring. That was the hardest part of the whole job. We put a special kind of paper down before the wood. Mom hammered the wood pieces in and then dad nailed them down. My brother Thomas would line up the wood and give it to mom and dad. My job was to hand my mom, dad, and my brother tools. It took six days to do the whole floor.
